What should I do if rust appears on parts of my Aarke Purifier?Updated a month ago
Small spots of rust can occasionally appear on any metallic surface exposed to moisture, oxygen, or contact with other metals. While this can be surprising, please rest assured that these spots are completely harmless and can be removed easily by following the steps below.
1. Wipe the Affected Area
Use a soft paper or cotton cloth to gently polish the surface where rust appears.
Avoid using steel wool or any abrasive materials, as they may scratch the metal.
2. Prepare a Citric Acid Solution
Mix a 5% citric acid solution with warm water (around 40°C) for best results.
If you don’t have citric acid, lemon juice or vinegar are effective alternatives.
3. Submerge and Soak
Place the part with signs of rust into the solution and allow it to soak for 30 minutes.
4. Agitate and Inspect
Gently swirl or move the part so the solution reaches all surfaces.
If any rust remains, use a soft cloth to loosen and remove the remaining spots.
5. Rinse Thoroughly
Rinse the part three times with clean, fresh water to remove any remaining acidity.
6. Dry Completely
Allow the part to air dry fully before using it again.
Once cleaned, your Purifier part should look as good as new.
